A MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR

WELCOME,

To our dear students, parents, teachers, and potential parents, a pleasant day to all. I am overflowing with mixed emotions right now. For our dear graduates, I am torn between feeling proud and deep melancholy. I’m pretty sure you, dear graduates, will continue to make us feel proud as you have made us feel from the moment you stepped in Little Wizard Academie des Arts, Inc. Every knowledge you gain from the 4 corners of the classroom, may they be as simple as abc or as complicated as the concept of probability, will serve as an inspiration to us, teachers, to continue loving our chosen profession.

It doesn’t matter anymore if you stayed in LWADA for 5 years or 1 year. What’s more essential is that you touched each and every person in LWADA the way we touched your lives. As you spread your wings and widen your horizon, I do not feel any doubt that you will indeed excel not only academically but also in other skills and all forms of the arts.

As for those who are still with us, do not worry that you will not be able to get the best education simply because of LWADA’s tiny population and comparatively smaller campus. We are currently implementing progressive / multi-intelligences approach, two of the most effective teaching approaches not only in the Philippines but around the world.

Our math subject is taught the Singapore Math way. One that is not only effective to the younger students because of visual explanations but also more useful to grade school level because of its real-life application approaches.

Our computer room which can only seat 10-14 students at a time is very effective as our computer to student is one to one ratio. Grade school students spend their computer time mostly in the computer laboratory learning how to make powerpoint presentations, computing in excel application, doing report in word software, and even cutting videos and mixing music for their presentations in school programs. And these are all fun because our computer program lets them learn this in a fun adventure way just like playing clash of clans where they are taught each and every software or computer concept in a computer game way.

We are already in the planning stage of incorporating business and economic news in the social sciences subject which is an integral part of our plan to teach them stock trading utilizing our Singapore Math lessons. When this is finally implemented, just imagine how your grade school students can be more knowledgeable in stock trading than you ever were.

This year, we included Speech in their subjects and we will be adding call center training for next year. These plans are not to encourage them to drop out of school due to ability to work earlier but our aim is to equip each and every LWADAn to excel in the changing global society as our mission states. Next year we plan to join quiz bees and competitions in the arts.

This summer, we will not only offer academic tutorials, NAT and Science High School Entrance Exam Review,   and music lessons but also mtv or show hosting, modelling and acting with video portfolio that can be submitted to talent and modelling agencies. We will also launch our LWADA in youtube to showcase our student’s talents. So to our students who will be left in LWADA, do not be sad as your fellow LWADAns will have to widen their horizons as LWADA will spread its wings with you. You may not go out of the real world that a big school may offer, but we will try to bring the real world to you.

Again, congratulations to our dear graduates! My appreciation goes out to the teachers, school staff, and parents who have supported and walked with our graduates to reach this milestone.
